The Hudson is a 5,000 square-foot pop-up exhibition, performance, and gathering place at 57 Pratt Street in Hartford. Located in the Hudson Building in Hartford’s Pratt Street Historic District, The Hudson is a collaboration of Shelbourne Global Solutions, LLC, and Blue Haus Group. It is downtown Hartford’s only space for small scale gallery showings and events.

“The Hudson has become a destination for emerging Hartford-area artists and is infusing downtown Hartford with new energy and excitement,” said Michael Seidenfeld, Chief Operating Officer of Shelbourne Global Solutions. “Our partnership with Blue Haus Group has made that possible. They have created a space where people can socialize, play, and network – an essential element of downtown revitalization.”

Artists can hang their work free of charge at Hudson-on-Pratt, typically for 30 days. Space at The Hudson is broken up into four rooms. The two back rooms are dedicated gallery spaces. The other two – an event space and a front music room –have seating and eating areas. Other recent pop-up events there include The Photobooth, a monthly networking series curated by Madyson Frame featuring live art, food, vendors, raffles, music and more. Another series – the “Nameless Chef” – invites culinary entrepreneurs to try out new concepts or test their menus. The Hudson grew out of a grassroots effort to create a platform for local artists, designers, performers and other creatives, said Tim Moore, Principal of Blue Haus Group. “We noticed they were leaving Hartford and going to bigger markets in search of opportunities they were not finding here,” he said. “We are filling a gap for local artists.”

Another recent collaboration by Blue Haus Group and Shelbourne include PoP! – Hartford’s first dedicated table tennis and pop-up play hall at 55 Pratt Street.
